The Royal Arch is the fourth and final stage in Pure Antient Masonry, as defined by the Act of Union of 1813 which created the present United Grand Lodge of England.
The Ceremony of Exaltation continues themes encountered in the Third Degree and offers fresh perspectives on the meaning and value of Freemasonry. Members are known as Companions and meet in Chapters governed by the Supreme Grand Chapter of England.
A Master Mason of at least four weeks’ standing in a Lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England—or a Grand Lodge recognised by it—is eligible to join.
The Province
Royal Arch Masonry in Cheshire
Cheshire is the oldest Province under the United Grand Lodge of England. Today its Freemasons meet in Lodges and Chapters at Masonic centres extending from the Wirral and Chester to Runcorn, Crewe, Sandbach and the eastern side of the county.
Richard Newhouse Chapter No. 2433 forms part of the Provincial Grand Chapter of Cheshire and meets at Neston Masonic Hall.
